Nakdonggang Regional Environmental Office, National Environmental Education Support Group Visits for 'Environmental Education'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Yoon-jung] The Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office in Gyeongnam is conducting a demand survey for environmental education in the first half of the year.


This demand survey was prepared to raise local residents' awareness of environmental conservation and to spread a culture of eco-friendly practices in daily life.


The education will be provided free of charge by dispatching instructors from the National Environmental Education Support Group who have relevant expertise and diverse experience to carry out environmental education in the fields requested by the applying institutions.


Institutions and organizations wishing to receive educational support can apply from the 6th to the 17th via the Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office website or by mail or fax.

The eligible applicants include elementary, middle, and high schools, local governments, companies, military units, private organizations, local residents, welfare facilities such as orphanages and immigrant centers, and all institutions and organizations within the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions.


When applying, applicants can select the environmental field for education and choose an instructor from the Education Support Group. The selected instructor will visit in person to conduct special environmental lectures on various topics such as climate change, water quality, air quality, and ecology.


Director Hong Dong-gon stated, “Through the National Environmental Education Support Group, we will provide high-quality environmental education so that students and citizens in the local community can acquire the necessary environmental knowledge and raise their awareness of the environment.”
