- The Sharp Brand Large Complex in Downtown Incheon... Enhancing Prestige with a Luxurious Exterior
- Demonstrating Excellent Location and Synergy Effects to Convey The Sharp Brand Pride
The importance of exterior design is increasing. Complexes that adopt specialized exterior designs not only break away from monotonous designs but also enhance views and add a sense of luxury, often raising the overall value of the entire complex. Based on this, they gain high recognition and, with added symbolism, often become regional landmarks.
‘The Sharp Arte’ by POSCO E&C, launching in February in Juan-dong, Incheon, is also highly anticipated for its unique exterior design rarely seen in the area. POSCO E&C aims to elevate the Sharp brand value, built over more than 10 years in Songdo, Incheon, by adding the landmark-level The Sharp Arte, positioning it as Incheon’s No.1 brand.
The Sharp Arte features a curtain wall look on its exterior. The curtain wall look involves finishing parts of the concrete frame with glass to make the building appear as if constructed with a curtain wall method. In reality, the curtain wall method is more commonly applied to mixed-use residential buildings than to general apartments. Representative buildings include The Sharp Central Park 1 and 2, landmarks in Songdo, and LCT in Busan. Even applying glass only to the walls of general apartment buildings enhances the aesthetic appeal and adds a higher level of luxury.
This curtain wall look is often applied in luxury apartments. In fact, in recent years, it has been widely used in high-end brand apartments built by major construction companies in Gangnam, Seoul. Unlike general apartments that emphasize logos by painting only the exterior walls, this method significantly enhances the luxurious appearance, making the entire complex stand out.
Additionally, the entrance gate was given a distinctive design. The entrance gate of The Sharp Arte, which incorporates The Sharp’s specialized design, features elegant curves, strong lines, and POSCO’s symbolic structural steel, adding a differentiated sense of luxury compared to nearby apartments.
With the curtain wall look and symbolic entrance gate design, The Sharp Arte is expected to establish itself as a luxurious apartment with symbolic value in downtown Incheon. While apartments with curtain wall looks have occasionally appeared in new towns like Songdo and Cheongna, such examples are very rare in downtown Incheon. The addition of a luxury, premium exterior in a central Incheon location is expected to enhance the Sharp brand value and residents’ pride.
A POSCO E&C official stated, “As a large complex located in the most central area of Incheon, the Sharp brand complex has symbolic significance. Along with an excellent location, the unique and luxurious design and planning will perfectly realize the essence of residential living, resulting in high customer satisfaction, and it is expected to become a representative complex in the region.”
Meanwhile, ‘The Sharp Arte’ will be developed with 10 buildings, ranging from 2 basement floors to a maximum of 29 floors above ground, totaling 1,146 households with exclusive areas of 39 to 84㎡. Among them, 770 units are for general sale, consisting of 60 units of 39㎡, 465 units of 59㎡, 157 units of 74㎡, and 88 units of 84㎡.
‘The Sharp Arte’ is located in a prime area equipped with transportation, commercial facilities, education, and surrounding natural environment.
Seokbawi Market Station on Incheon Subway Line 2 is located within 100 meters of the complex’s main northern entrance, providing convenient subway access. Access to Inju-daero, Munhak IC, and Dohwa IC allows easy entry to Incheon-daero and the 2nd Gyeongin Expressway, enabling fast travel by car.
‘The Sharp Arte’ will benefit from the GTX-B line (planned), a metropolitan wide-area express railway. Currently, Incheon City Hall Station, a transfer station for Incheon Subway Lines 1 and 2, is just one stop from Seokbawi Market Station in front of the complex. Once the GTX-B line opens, it will be possible to reach downtown Seoul within 30 minutes.
Nearby schools include Guwolseo Elementary, Dongincheon Middle, and Incheon High, all within walking distance, and Juan Library is located right next to the complex, providing an excellent educational environment. Additionally, many public administrative institutions such as the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, Incheon City Hall, Incheon District Court, and Incheon Culture & Arts Center are within a 10-minute drive, offering convenience.
The complex also offers a pleasant residential environment. Six parks, including Seokbawi Park and Incheon Central Park, are located nearby. Furthermore, access to lifestyle infrastructure such as Homeplus Guwol Branch, Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch, and Incheon Bus Terminal is excellent.
The model house for ‘The Sharp Arte’ is scheduled to open on February 10. Move-in is expected in June 2024.
