CareLabs Subsidiary Nine Communication Launches New 'Proto Hologram M' Model

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] CareLabs, a mobile health and beauty care platform specialist company, announced on the 2nd that its subsidiary Nine Communication has newly launched the ‘PROTO HOLOGRAM M’.

The PROTO HOLOGRAM M model was first unveiled in Asia by Japan’s SoftBank. The company stated that it was developed to be utilized in various fields where digital twin integration is possible, such as hologram lectures, hologram exhibitions, and retail advertising, based on 5G communication. Digital twin is a technology that represents machines, equipment, and objects in the real world as digital data models on a computer, replicates them exactly, and enables real-time interactive responses.

CareLabs’ subsidiary Nine Communication is the exclusive domestic distributor of PROTO HOLOGRAM in Korea. They have been supplying the PROTO EPIC, a rebranded version of PORTL EPIC developed by the U.S. hologram startup Portl, since March last year.

PROTO HOLOGRAM is a fully autonomous, interactive plug-and-play (PnP) platform using 5G communication that enables immersive content communication with two-way interaction. Its technology, including two-way communication and real-time hologram transmission, was recognized with Innovation Awards at the world’s largest consumer electronics exhibitions, CES 2022 and CES 2023, respectively.

Yu Youngjae, CEO of Nine Communication, said, “With the launch of the PROTO HOLOGRAM M model, a foundation for discovering various immersive content has been established, and we plan to design and review products that can be exported to overseas markets.” He added, “We will continue to take the lead in expanding the application areas of holoporation technology, which enables real-time two-way communication without spatial movement.”
