Both companies aim to innovate eco-friendly energy technologies and explore new business opportunities for heat pumps. Along with advancing heat pump technology, they plan to accelerate their entry into the eco-friendly smart city and smart farm markets.
Exergy21 developed the 'Exergy21' air-source heat pump heating and cooling system. This technology addresses limitations of conventional air-source heat pumps, such as frost formation during severe cold and reduced heating and hot water supply capacity, drawing attention. It has been installed in smart farms, mixed-use residential buildings, golf courses, and large supermarkets, demonstrating fuel cost savings of approximately 54?85% compared to traditional fossil fuels.
Grecter is an intelligent Internet of Things (AIoT) platform specialist and the main operator in the smart home appliance sector of the Busan Eco Delta City (EDC) Smart Village. It provides digital platforms and services through various projects with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. It has secured numerous smart city projects, including the Gyeonggi Province fine dust big data response system, Seongnam City smart city infrastructure technology, LH smart home advancement, and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Safety (facility safety management) platform construction in Incheon, Goyang, Yongsan-gu, Pohang, Gunsan, and Seongnam. Recently, it expanded its smart city business by winning the Uijeongbu Riverside small and medium-sized city project under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's small and medium-sized city smart city development initiative.
Through this partnership, they will jointly develop an energy management system (EMS) utilizing Grecter's DX infrastructure AI Edge Platform technology. This will enable real-time quantitative monitoring of monthly heating or electricity cost savings and carbon reduction effects, increasing the likelihood of becoming the primary energy efficiency solution for various public enterprises, communal facilities, and smart cities in the future.
An Exergy21 representative stated, "Due to the recent surge in heating costs and as an alternative to eco-friendly energy policies, market interest in 'Exergy21' is very high, marking a boom period for business expansion." They added, "Through the strategic partnership with Grecter, we will actively expand the presence of 'Exergy21' in the smart city and smart farm markets."
