Free Distribution of Magnetic Stickers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam Province is producing and distributing free "Baby Sleeping" magnetic stickers for the front doors of households that have registered a birth this year.
The "Baby Sleeping" magnetic sticker is attached to the front door to inform visitors that there is a baby inside the home, guiding them not to ring the doorbell, to knock gently, and to leave deliveries at the door.
The city prepared this to help the baby’s sound sleep and the mother’s rest, and to foster a culture of consideration for families with babies. The stickers are distributed free of charge along with the "Childbirth and Parenting Guide" at the Eup, Myeon, and Dong Administrative Welfare Centers where birth registrations are made.
A guardian who received the sticker said, "I was upset when the baby, who I had just put to sleep and was resting, woke up because of the doorbell sound," and added, "I had put up a note asking people not to ring the doorbell, but I am grateful that the city prepared such a considerate and nice sticker."
Choi Jong-ok, Director of the Women and Family Division, said, "We aim to create an atmosphere where the local community celebrates the birth of babies together by providing practical services to families who have given birth," and added, "We will continue to strive to prepare various policies in the future."
