Shinsegae L&B announced on the 2nd that it will introduce the imported wine ‘Persona Non Grata’ from California, USA, at Emart stores nationwide.
‘Persona Non Grata’ is a red wine made from ▲Syrah ▲Zinfandel ▲Tempranillo ▲Mourv?dre ▲Petit Verdot, characterized by a concentrated red fruit aroma combined with light oak and spice scents. The full-bodied palate and rich plum aroma harmonize with a smooth texture, and it includes Zinfandel, a representative grape variety symbolizing California, making it a great match with barbecue ribs, roasted tomato bisque, hamburgers, and more.
Imported as part of Emart’s ‘The Limited’ project, this product is sold at 19,800 KRW. According to the wine price comparison platform ‘Wine-Searcher,’ the overseas local price is $24, and Shinsegae L&B secured the quantity in advance through pre-contracts, lowering the purchase cost and enabling the product to be sold at a price cheaper than the local price.
A Shinsegae L&B official said, “We are pleased to offer high-quality wine at discounted prices through Emart’s long-standing distribution expertise during a time when consumers feel burdened by continuous price increases,” adding, “We will continue to strive to present wines from various countries at reasonable prices.”
Persona Non Grata is a product of Shannon Family of Wines. Shannon Family of Wines is a winery established in Lake County, cultivating only 40% of its total 2,500-acre land as vineyards. It pursues sustainable farming methods that protect the surrounding ecosystem and maintain balance with the land.
