Announcement for Application of Innovative Products in Disaster Safety Research and Development
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 2nd that it will publicly announce the application for the designation of the '2023 Disaster Safety Research and Development Innovative Products' tomorrow, and will accept applications from the 27th until the 3rd of next month.
The eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises that have developed products through the 'Ministry of the Interior and Safety Disaster Safety Research and Development Project' within the last five years. Applications are also accepted if the product was commercialized by receiving technology transfer of the project’s outcomes from universities, government-funded research institutes, etc.
Gwangwan Ko, Disaster Cooperation Policy Officer at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, stated, “Due to the nature of disaster safety products, pioneering initial sales channels through public procurement is important, so the designation as an innovative product is expected to be very helpful.” He added, “We hope for the interest and participation of many small and medium-sized enterprises that have developed excellent products for the designation of the 2023 Disaster Safety Research and Development Innovative Products.”
