Seoul Gangseo-gu (Mayor Kim Tae-woo) and Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk (County Governor Yoo Hee-tae) joined hands on the 2nd for mutual development between the two cities.
On the morning of the same day, Kim Tae-woo, Seoul Gangseo-gu Mayor, and Yoo Hee-tae, Wanju-gun County Governor, signed a 'Sisterhood Agreement' at Wanju County Office and promised to work together for joint development.

Governor Yoo said, "Today is a meaningful day marking the first step as sister cities through economic, cultural, and administrative exchanges," and added, "I hope we achieve joint development through human and administrative exchanges."
He also praised, "Mayor Kim Tae-woo has revitalized the local economy through downtown revitalization and cultural arts development, and has signed relocation agreements with all hazardous waste disposal companies in Banghwa to create a safe environment free from nuisance and hazardous facilities."

Meanwhile, the district has sisterhood agreements with 10 cities including Wanju-gun, Jeongeup-si, Yeosu-si, Suncheon-si, Sangju-si, Gangneung-si, Imsil-gun, Goesan-gun, Taean-gun, and Haman-gun, and annually holds direct agricultural product markets to support the distribution of agricultural specialty products, striving for regional mutual development.

Yangcheon-gu Mayor Lee Ki-jae visited the site of the 'Yutnori Tournament for Jeongwol Daeboreum' held in the basement auditorium of Yangcheon Haenuri Welfare Center on the morning of the 2nd and played Yutnori with residents.
