[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Former leader of the People Power Party, Lee Jun-seok, is gearing up for political activities ahead of the party convention by publishing a book.

On the 1st, Lee Jun-seok posted on Facebook, "The book is coming out," adding, "After publication, I will not hold a separate book launch event but plan to travel around various regions to meet readers."

In another post, Lee wrote, "In elections, we should always choose the best, not the second best or the lesser evil. Only then will there be no regrets."

Since being suspended from party membership in July last year, Lee has been traveling nationwide, meeting party members and engaging in conversations, which formed the basis for writing a book on party innovation measures. The book is expected to be published around the end of this month.

Lee has also agreed to serve as the sponsor chairman for Kim Yong-tae, a former Supreme Council member who declared his candidacy for the People Power Party convention’s Supreme Council member position. Kim is classified as a pro-Lee Jun-seok faction member, having served as a youth Supreme Council member under Lee’s leadership. Additionally, it is reported that Lee is considering serving as the sponsor chairman for Lee Gi-in, a candidate for youth Supreme Council member.

On December 22 last year, at a special lecture at Korea University titled "Asking the Path of Conservatism," Lee said, "The book is divided into four parts: party innovation, political innovation, policy innovation, and strategies to win elections. Because of the anticipation, it feels different in weight compared to books I wrote before."
