Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign Surpasses 10.3 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Province Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign ended on the 1st.
Governor Park Wansu met with donation contributors at the campaign closing ceremony held at Changwon International Hotel on the 1st.
Governor Park said, “Although prices such as heating costs have risen, the reason why those in need can spend the winter a little warmer is thanks to the hands that actively participated in social contribution.”
According to the province, the campaign was held from December 1 last year to January 31 this year.
In the Gyeongnam region, 10.35 billion KRW was raised, exceeding the target amount of 9.24 billion KRW.
The Love Temperature Tower, erected in the square in front of Changwon City Hall at the start of the campaign, recorded 112 degrees.

At the meeting that day, 19 donors attended, including Honor Society members who donated more than 100 million KRW, employees of Good Workplaces and owners of Good Stores who donate a portion of their salaries and profits, and Sharing Leaders who consistently practice donations.
The family of the late Lee Juchan, who died in a traffic accident in March 2022 before employment after graduating from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, was also present.
The bereaved family discovered in his diary the content, “When I die, I will return everything I have to society,” and joined the Honor Society to fulfill the deceased’s will.
The Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea said, “The Gyeongnam region realized the value of happiness at the center of the sharing culture,” and “It is unusual to invite donation contributors to a luncheon meeting to express gratitude.”
Governor Park said, “I hope that through respect and courtesy to those who practiced sharing, the culture of sharing will spread and the residents will become happier.”
