According to the county on the 1st, the welfare task force was created to actively assist marginalized groups who have small inconveniences in daily life but lack the ability to solve them alone. It consists of a total of 162 members across 10 teams, including experts in home repair, wallpapering, and gas, as well as village chiefs and volunteer members.

At the meeting, the welfare task force members introduced themselves and discussed the future direction and plans for the task force activities.

Additionally, the welfare task force members pledged to take the lead in identifying vulnerable groups in crisis and actively participate in the operation of the newly launched ‘Welfare Task Force Day’ starting in February.

‘Welfare Task Force Day’ is a new project initiated by Muan County this year, collaborating with public institutions to mobilize a large workforce to assist vulnerable groups in need of improvements such as major house cleaning, wallpapering, and flooring.

Seo Bok-hyun, head of the county welfare task force, said, “I am very grateful for the opportunity to meet with the task force leaders, which was not possible face-to-face due to COVID-19,” and added, “I will work hard this year to revitalize the task force.”

Kim Jin-soon, director of the Social Welfare Division, stated, “Through our neighborhood welfare task force, we will take good care of neighbors in difficulty around us and serve as a mediator providing small help in daily life,” and emphasized, “We will do our best to achieve zero welfare blind spots.”
