BPA Holds Safety Meeting with Construction Stakeholders for Disaster Prevention

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Port Authority (BPA) held a meeting on the 31st of last month at the Busan Port International Exhibition Center (BPEX) conference room with construction site personnel involved in the Busan Port North Port redevelopment project to prevent safety accidents.


About 40 people, including site managers and safety officers from construction companies participating in the North Port marina and underground parking lot construction, as well as BPA staff, attended the meeting to share recent accident occurrences at construction sites, excellent safety management cases at each site, and discuss preventive measures through accident cause analysis.

They also shared the response system in case of safety accidents related to construction, provided guidance on safety-related systems such as workers' right to stop work, and listened to suggestions from construction companies for disaster prevention.


Jeon Chan-gyu, head of the BPA Port Regeneration Project Group, said, “The importance of safety cannot be overemphasized. Our authority will actively support the prevention of safety accidents at construction sites,” and added, “Please ensure thorough safety management at each site.”
