Booyoung Group Donates 200 Million KRW to the '2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo'

[Asia Economy Reporter Noh Kyung-jo] Booyoung Group announced on the 1st that it donated 200 million KRW to the organizing committee of the '2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo' (hereinafter Expo) to be held in April.

On the same day, Lee Hee-beom, Chairman of Booyoung Group, met with Suncheon Mayor Noh Kwan-gyu, who serves as the chairman of the committee, at Suncheon City Hall and delivered the donation of 200 million KRW. The donation will be used for the successful hosting of the Expo, the first international event held domestically since COVID-19.

Chairman Lee said, "I wish for the successful hosting of the Expo in Suncheon, Korea's first national garden and ecological capital."

Mayor Noh said, "I would like to thank Chairman Lee Joong-geun and all members of Booyoung Group who willingly participated in the donation despite the difficult economic conditions. We will prepare well during the remaining period to ensure the Expo is successfully held."

Booyoung Group founder Lee Joong-geun also served as the chairman of the Expo sponsorship committee in 2013 and supported 500 million KRW until Suncheonman was designated as Korea's first national garden.
