Garbage Burning Leads to Wildfire... Fire Breaks Out in Haman A fire that started from burning trash in Daesan-myeon, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam is spreading to the surrounding area.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Around 2 PM on the 1st, a fire broke out in Daesan-myeon, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam, spreading to a nearby mountain.


According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, a village resident was burning trash when the fire spread to the nearby mountain, prompting a 119 emergency call.


At the scene, Fire Response Level 1 was declared, with 10 fire trucks, 9 helicopters including fire helicopters, and 32 personnel including firefighters and the county office wildfire suppression team deployed.


The fire authorities prioritized preventing the fire from spreading from the initial ignition site to the village and began extinguishing efforts. The major fire was brought under control around 3:51 PM that day.


The police and fire departments plan to investigate the exact extent of the damage once the fire is completely extinguished.
