According to Nongsung 1-dong in Seo-gu on the 1st, the "Our Neighborhood Guardian Angel Mailbox" is a mailbox created for neighbors in need of help, such as those in welfare blind spots, to write on a hope postcard and notify the social welfare officer of the district, who then visits to provide assistance.

This donation warmed hearts as an envelope containing a total of 528,870 won, ranging from ten-won coins to fifty-thousand-won bills, was left in the mailbox without any letter or name.

The donation will be used for neighbors in need of care within the district through the Community Chest of Korea (Nongsung 1-dong Joint Fundraising) and linked to the local community security council projects.

Kim Myung-sook, head of Nongsung 1-dong, said, "We thank the guardian angel who extended a helping hand despite everyone facing difficulties due to COVID-19," and added, "We will deliver this precious heart well to neighbors in need."

Meanwhile, the Nongsung 1-dong Community Security Council practiced warm neighborly love by sharing rice cake soup rice cakes for neighbors in need ahead of the Lunar New Year in January and is leading efforts to improve welfare and care through projects such as sharing healthy side dishes.
