Coupang Signs Business Agreement with Startup Promotion Agency... "Expanding Market Access for Startup Companies"

35 Early-Stage Startup Companies Participating

Coupang Signs Business Agreement with Startup Promotion Agency... "Expanding Market Access for Startup Companies" Coupang has signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development to support market access for early-stage startups.

Coupang announced on the 1st that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, becoming the first e-commerce company to support market expansion for early-stage startups.

Both parties promised to support early-stage startups in pioneering sales channels by utilizing their information, resources, and online-offline cooperative networks. Support will be expanded to companies managed by the Institute, including growth-stage startups (3 to 7 years since establishment) and re-startups (within 7 years of re-establishment).

Coupang will hold a special exhibition at the Good Store. The Good Store is a win-win specialized section that supports marketing and stable sales channels for small and medium-sized merchants with competitive products. Among approximately 700 companies nurtured through the Institute’s Early Startup Package project, 35 early-stage startups were selected to participate.

Daejun Park, Head of Coupang’s New Business Division, said, “We prepared this special exhibition to support early-stage startups struggling to expand online sales channels and promote their products. Going forward, Coupang will continue to support startups to help revitalize entrepreneurship and strive to create an environment where mutual growth and development are possible.”
