CU Sells 500,000 Baek Jong-won Meat Jjamppong... Surpasses Shin Ramyun Baek Jong-won's Meat Jjamppong sold at CU.

CU announced on the 1st that the meat jjambbong, launched in collaboration with Baek Jong-won, CEO of The Born Korea, surpassed Shin Ramyun in sales in less than a month.


According to CU, Baek Jong-won's meat jjambbong achieved sales of 500,000 units within 20 days of its launch. This translates to about 25,000 units sold per day, 1,041 units per hour, and 17 units per minute, marking the fastest sales pace among all differentiated cup ramen products to date. Thanks to the explosive sales of Baek Jong-won's meat jjambbong, CU's differentiated cup ramen sales increased by 188.6% compared to the previous month.


Baek Jong-won's meat jjambbong cup ramen ranks second among all cup ramen sold at CU, following Yukgaejang Sabalmyeon. Achieving higher sales than established steady sellers with a loyal fan base is a very rare occurrence in the conservative ramen market where customer preferences tend to be traditional.


CU and CEO Baek Jong-won utilized his special Chinese recipe to introduce a new concept of cup ramen, undergoing an intense development process lasting about a year. The resulting Baek Jong-won meat jjambbong cup ramen boasts a deep and rich broth flavored with beef, chicken, and pork, along with the distinctive smoky aroma of jjambbong, delivering a taste comparable to that of a Chinese restaurant.


Following the success of the Baek Jong-won series in ready-to-eat meals, CU plans to continue expanding its lineup of differentiated ramen products by developing items that satisfy diverse customer tastes, including cup ramen.
