Briefing Session on Policy Projects to Increase Resident Population Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 1st that it will hold the ‘2023 First Half Regional Economic Revitalization Workshop’ tomorrow at Daejeon City Hall with central and local government officials, and conduct a briefing session on policies to increase the living population.
The workshop will proceed with ▲a briefing session on policies to increase the living population, ▲sharing the 2023 economic policy directions and key focus areas in the regional economy, ▲presentations on outstanding local government regional economic policies.
In particular, during the briefing session on policies to increase the living population, the background and purpose of the project, main contents, and future schedule will be provided to local government officials in charge of the living population who attend. Additionally, the ‘2023 economic policy directions and key focus areas in the regional economy’ and ‘presentations on outstanding local government regional economic policies’ will also be conducted.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety plans to secure regional driving forces to enhance regional economic vitality through this event and continuously discover and disseminate excellent achievements.
Choi Byung-kwan, Director of the Local Finance and Economy Office at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, stated, “For policies to increase the living population and regional economic revitalization policies to permeate the local field, not only close cooperation between central and local governments but also the role of local governments, which are most closely connected to the field, is especially important.” He added, “We will continue to create opportunities for central and local governments to discuss together and provide wholehearted support to develop economic policies that the regions can truly feel by reflecting the voices from the local field.”
