Supplying Agricultural Water from February for Onion and Garlic Growing Season
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, signed a 'Business Agreement for the Supply of Agricultural Water during the Dry Season' with the Korea Rural Community Corporation (Hapcheon Branch) last October and will expand the operation of water pumping facilities from February to November.
This is to supply agricultural water from February, the growing season of major income sources such as onions and garlic, which suffer from severe drought every year from winter to spring.
Before the full-scale agricultural water supply period begins in February, the county plans to actively respond to complaints by operating a 'Permanent Communication Window' in cooperation with the Rural Community Corporation again, to handle residents' inconvenience reports and complaint processing status.
The 'Permanent Communication Window' will be operated so that if a report is made anywhere?whether at the county construction department, the industrial guidance officer at the nearby eup/myeon office, or the Rural Community Corporation?the matter will be forwarded to the person in charge, and the complainant can directly receive the results of the complaint handling.
County Governor Kim Yoon-cheol said, "I am grateful to the employees of the Rural Community Corporation who have actively cooperated with the administration for the residents," and added, "We will continue to listen carefully to the voices of the residents, understand their inconveniences, and do our best to become a trusted administration that approaches proactively."
