Contribution to Regional Science and Technology Promotion and Teacher Training Workshops
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Professor Park Jong-bok of the Department of Business Administration at the College of Business Administration, Gyeongsang National University, received a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT for his contributions to the establishment of regional science and technology promotion policies. Professor Kim Yong-jin of the Department of Biology Education at the College of Education received a commendation from the Minister of Education for his contributions to teacher training and professional development.
Additionally, Kim Kyung-min, a teacher at the affiliated middle school of the College of Education, also received a commendation from the Minister of Education for contributions to teacher training and professional development. In response, Gyeongsang National University held a commendation ceremony in the president’s office on the morning of January 30.
The Ministry of Science and ICT awarded commendations to individuals who contributed to regional research and development (R&D) innovation and the enhancement of regional science and technology competitiveness, with Professor Park being one of the recipients.

Professor Park was especially recognized for his role as the chair of the startup and technology commercialization subcommittee in the establishment of the 5th and 6th Comprehensive Plans for Local Science and Technology Promotion, where he developed key policies.
Professor Kim was acknowledged for his contributions to improving and advancing the curriculum of teacher training institutions while serving as dean of the College of Education and director of the Graduate School of Education from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2022.
Teacher Kim Kyung-min was recognized for laying the foundation for the efficient operation of semester-based teaching practicum by conducting three research projects under the theme “Research on Guidance Methods for Student Teachers to Establish Semester-Based Teaching Practicum.”
