[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] There is a claim that the bouquet received by Kim Ki-hyun, a member of the People Power Party, was prepared by a third party, not volleyball player Kim Yeon-koung or singer Nam Jin. Although interpretations have followed that Kim Yeon-koung or Nam Jin presented the bouquet as a sign of political support, the facts differ from this.

Shin Hyun-bin, CEO of Luce Entertainment, said in a phone interview with Asia Economy on the 31st, "Nam Jin and Kim Yeon-koung did not even know whether Kim Ki-hyun would come, so why would they prepare a bouquet?" and added, "Probably one of the acquaintances invited Representative Kim and also prepared the bouquet."

CEO Shin explained, "Nam Jin and Representative Kim have never met," and "On the 26th, at a hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, Nam Jin, volleyball player Kim Yeon-koung, and three acquaintances held a gathering of people from the Honam region, and Representative Kim arrived after the meal ended."

CEO Shin said, "Representative Kim left the place again after about 3 to 5 minutes," and "He only revealed that he is a fan of Nam Jin and took photos, but since articles came out because of the photos, it is an embarrassing situation."

Earlier, Representative Kim had revealed a photo taken with Nam Jin and Kim Yeon-koung and stated that he received a bouquet. On the 27th, he posted on Facebook, "I would like to thank Kim Yeon-koung and Nam Jin, who took precious time to support me as I ran for the party leader election and even prepared a bouquet."

After Representative Kim’s SNS post was made public, a heated controversy arose surrounding the political leanings of Nam Jin and Kim Yeon-koung.

Regarding this, Representative Kim appeared on CBS Radio's "Kim Hyun-jung's News Show" on the 30th and explained, "We were not originally acquainted."

However, Representative Kim said, "I heard that volleyball player Kim Yeon-koung and our singer Nam Jin would come, and they were there. So I greeted them, and they took photos with me saying they support me, and they had prepared flowers to give me as a gift. I was very grateful."

Summarizing Representative Kim’s claims, he was not acquainted with Kim Yeon-koung or Nam Jin. He took photos and received flowers at the scene. However, there is a possibility that the party who prepared the flowers was not Kim Yeon-koung or Nam Jin but a third party.
