The Little Angels Art Troupe has produced numerous alumni including National Ballet Director Kang Sujin, vocalist Shin Youngok, Universal Ballet Director Moon Hunsook, Samulnori master Kim Deoksu, announcer Park Eunyoung, and actors Hwang Jungeum and Park Hanbyul, who are actively working in various fields of culture and arts.


The audition is open to any elementary school students from grades 1 to 5 who are interested in dance and singing. Applications can be submitted from February 1 to 15 according to the announcement on the official website.


The selection process consists of a first round document screening and a second round audition. Successful candidates from the document screening will be announced on the 16th, and those who pass can participate in the audition on the 18th. On the day of the audition, applicants must visit the Little Angels Art Troupe and participate in all evaluation stages, including ‘following basic Korean dance movements,’ ‘singing a prepared song,’ and ‘an interview accompanied by a guardian.’ The audition results will be announced on the 21st.


Final successful candidates will join the practice group, where they will receive specialized arts education focusing on Korean dance and choir. After completing the two-year practice group course and becoming a performance group member, they will gain performance experience on various stages both domestically and internationally, including regular performances held every May and December at the Universal Art Center.


Celebrating its 61st anniversary, the Little Angels Art Troupe has developed and established a children’s traditional arts education system and performance repertoire. Since its founding, it has performed on the world stage, including the 1965 ‘Special Performance at the Eisenhower White House,’ the British royal invitation ‘Performance before Queen Elizabeth II,’ Korea’s first ‘Special Performance at the UN General Assembly Hall,’ and the first private arts troupe to perform in Pyongyang, North Korea. The troupe has been recognized for its contributions to the development of Korean culture and arts and the enhancement of international status, receiving the Presidential Citation four times.
