Completion of Development at Gimhae AM High-Tech Industrial Complex, Companies Moving In One After Another

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The development project of the AM High-Tech General Industrial Complex in Jinrye-myeon, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam has been completed.


According to the city on the 31st, this project involved 31 companies including the project operator J, investing 45.9 billion KRW to create an industrial complex covering 162,491㎡ in the Sanbon-ri area of Jinrye-myeon.


After the industrial complex plan and approval in March 2016, land compensation and other procedures were completed, construction began in July 2018, and following the completion of construction and approval of completion in August last year, the recent handover of facilities and land ownership registration procedures have all been finalized.

The city announced that 31 companies from 8 industries including food manufacturing have completed lease contracts, and currently 14 companies have completed building and usage approvals and are proceeding with moving in.


It also anticipated employment inducement of 425 people and production inducement effect of 157.9 billion KRW through this.


Currently, in Gimhae, designation and industrial complex plans for 10 industrial complexes have been approved, and development of 8 industrial complexes including Najon General Industrial Complex is expected to be completed within this year.


Three industrial complexes are also scheduled to apply for designation after completing administrative procedures.


A city official said, “The AM High-Tech General Industrial Complex is adjacent to the Namhae Expressway and the hinterland railway of the New Port,” adding, “We will induce linked development with surrounding areas by establishing industrial-centered transportation infrastructure and creating a small and medium-sized enterprise cluster complex through revitalization of manufacturing-centered companies.”


He added, “We will continue to strive for early completion of industrial complexes to attract companies and build an economic city abundant in jobs.”
