Jangseong-gun Operates 4 'Transportation Voucher Taxis' for Mobility-Impaired

According to the county on the 31st, the ‘Transportation Voucher Taxi for the Mobility Impaired’ refers to taxis that normally operate as regular taxis but switch to voucher taxis when receiving dispatch requests from mobility-impaired individuals who do not use wheelchairs.

The base fare is 500 won, the same as the disabled call taxi, with an additional 100 won per kilometer, allowing use up to a maximum of 1,000 won.

Each person can use the service up to 30 times per month, and residents wishing to use the voucher taxi or disabled call taxi must first register with the Jeonnam Metropolitan Mobility Support Center.

Dispatch reservations can be made by phone or through the Jeonnam Metropolitan Mobility Support Center’s mobile app.

County Governor Kim Hanjong said, “The introduction of the transportation voucher taxi for the mobility impaired will greatly improve the convenience and satisfaction of mobility-impaired individuals,” adding, “We will do our best to provide customized services so that no resident is excluded from transportation welfare.”
