Volvo Group Korea Launches Compact Asphalt Paver 'P2820D' in Korea

Enhancing Convenience of Small to Medium-Sized Urban Road Pavement

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Construction machinery company Volvo Group Korea announced on the 31st that it will launch the compact asphalt paver (asphalt paver - a construction machine that evenly lays asphalt mixture on the road surface) 'P2820D' in the domestic market. It is characterized by enhancing customer convenience at small and medium road paving sites in urban areas.

The P2820D offers various paving widths from 1.5 to 4.5 meters by utilizing the VB30 and VB40 low-noise vibrating screeds. It has power comparable to large asphalt pavers. The low-noise screed of the P2820D is designed for agile movement and quiet operation. It can be used in various ways at urban road paving sites.

Produced in Germany along with the existing 'P6820D' and 'P7820D', it has the same driving method. It is also compatible with existing sensors such as grade sensors, slope sensors, and auger sensors.

The P2820D is a crawler-type ABG track paver. The track is 150mm longer than previous equipment, enhancing traction and straight-line stability. It is equipped with an eco-friendly D3.8H engine that meets the European Union (EU) emission regulation 'EU STAGE 5'. It features an ECO mode to save fuel and reduce carbon emissions.

With the latest specifications such as an automatic track tension device, enhanced side panel functions, and convenient operator cabin and storage space, it is scheduled to be launched in the domestic road equipment market.
