[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Jeonnam Shinan-gun Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Park Woo-ryang) announced on the 31st that the heads of local agricultural cooperatives in the area recently visited Shinan-gun Office and donated 21 million won in scholarships.

The local agricultural cooperatives include Bukshinan Nonghyup, Bigeum Nonghyup, Namshinan Nonghyup, Dochon Nonghyup, Aphae Nonghyup, Shinan Nonghyup, and Imja Nonghyup, totaling seven cooperatives. The heads unanimously agreed at the monthly meeting to contribute the scholarship funds.

Kim Byung-nam, head of Namshinan Nonghyup, said, “Despite the economic difficulties, the heads of the cooperatives have pooled their resources to donate the scholarship funds,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to help establish a foundation to discover local talents who will lead our Shinan in the future.”

Chairman Park Woo-ryang expressed gratitude, saying, “I am thankful to the heads of the cooperatives for donating warm and hopeful scholarships to enhance the academic achievement of local students and nurture future talents,” and added, “We will use these funds carefully for the development of local talents.”
