Determined to Secure 184.2 Billion KRW for 95 Projects
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 30th at 2 p.m., Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a 2024 national and provincial government fund securing project discovery briefing session at the county office large conference room, attended by about 70 people including County Governor Jin Byeong-yeong, the deputy governor, directors, all department heads, and responsible officers.
The briefing session was organized to discover new growth engine projects to revitalize the local economy and ensure sustainable development of Hamyang, as well as large-scale projects that align with national and Gyeongnam provincial policies.
In addition, in order to proactively respond to the central government and Gyeongnam Province, in-depth discussions were held on necessary preliminary procedures and budget securing plans.
Gyeongnam Hamyang-gun is holding a report meeting to identify projects for securing national and provincial funds for 2024.
At the briefing session, 95 major projects closely related to Hamyang-gun’s future development and residents’ lives were carefully reviewed, including ▲ Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Rural Agreement for strategic rural space creation and revitalization (42.8 billion KRW) ▲ Rural space maintenance project for harmful facility improvement and urban regeneration project promotion (15 billion KRW) ▲ Hamyang-gun commercial district revitalization contest project for economic activation linked with local tourism resources (3.6 billion KRW) ▲ Hamyang middle and high school commuting route Green New Deal undergrounding project for clean and safe urban landscape creation (15 billion KRW) ▲ Installation of distribution facilities at Hamyang-gun Integrated Food Support Center to expand local agricultural product supply (6 billion KRW).
Governor Jin said, “Through this briefing session, we have taken the first step to secure national and provincial government funds for 2024,” and added, “Please do your best to additionally discover new projects related to our county’s current issues centered on national tasks and provincial policies and secure the budget.”
Hamyang-gun plans to hold regular briefing sessions to smoothly promote the 2024 national and provincial government fund projects, discuss problems and countermeasures, and make various efforts such as regularly visiting related departments of central ministries and Gyeongnam Province.
