The Truth Behind Stock Price Manipulation by First Lady Kim Geon-hee Must Be Revealed
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Kim Ui-gyeom, spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 30th regarding the Presidential Office's defamation accusation, "We will fight back" and "We will uncover the hidden truth."
Regarding the Presidential Office's defamation accusation against him filed with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on the same day, Spokesperson Kim said, "To determine whether Mrs. Kim Geon-hee's honor was defamed, it must first be revealed whether Mrs. Kim was involved in the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation." He added, "I hope this accusation will serve as an opportunity for the long-standing truth about Deutsche Motors stock manipulation to be transparently revealed."
In response to the Presidential Office's stance that there is no basis for the suspicion that 'Woori Technology' is a manipulated stock, he rebutted, saying, "'Artificially inflating stock prices' is exactly stock manipulation. If the stock price was inflated by a manipulation group, that stock is a 'manipulated stock.' It has been revealed that Mrs. Kim Geon-hee also participated in that transaction, so what exactly is false information and defamation?"
Spokesperson Kim also pointed out that he only raised suspicions and did not make definitive statements. He explained, "I used the expression 'suspected of involvement in stock manipulation.' If you look up the word 'suspect' in the Korean dictionary, it says 'the possibility of having committed a crime. Or that possibility. It serves as a motive to initiate an investigation.'" In other words, he urged for an investigation.
Furthermore, regarding suspicions related to Mrs. Kim before her marriage to President Yoon, he questioned, "Who undergoes the complainant's investigation at the police, and if a lawyer is appointed, whose money is used?"
