[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National Maritime University (President Han Won-hee) held the 2022 academic year first semester degree conferment ceremony for the College of Maritime Studies on the morning of the 27th at 11 a.m. in the Future Convergence Hall auditorium.

According to Mokpo National Maritime University on the 30th, a total of 327 graduates from the College of Maritime Studies received their degrees at this ceremony, which was attended by representatives of graduates and awardees from each department, as well as key university officials and distinguished guests.

Graduates of the College of Maritime Studies at Mokpo National Maritime University, who completed the specialized maritime education program, are expected to work in the shipping industry and contribute to national development.

Additionally, to celebrate the graduation ceremony, alumnus Kim Gil-jong and Sea World Express Ferry each donated 10 million won in development funds to the university.

President Han Won-hee sent a congratulatory and encouraging message to the graduates, saying, “I would like to thank the graduates who received their degrees and their parents,” and added, “I hope you will contribute to the growth of our country as a maritime powerhouse by leading the shipping industry globally as new maritime leaders.”
