Recently, the Samsung C&T Turf Environment Research Institute analyzed rapidly changing environmental conditions such as temperature, sunlight, and precipitation, and sought management methods tailored to these changes. Ban Ki-sung, director of the K Weather Forecast Center and Korea's top meteorological analyst, shared insights on domestic climate change and weather forecasts. The Turf Environment Research Institute proposed customized solutions through accurate turf growth diagnosis based on regular soil analysis.

The Samsung C&T Turf Environment Research Institute obtained patent No. 10-1984047 (Method and device for crop growth diagnosis using unmanned aerial vehicles) through special drone photography and data analysis, enabling precise and rapid identification of habitual poor growth areas, pest and disease regions, and vegetation indices.

Director Kim Kyung-deok stated, "Turf management is becoming increasingly difficult due to rapid climate changes, so scientific management based on accurate data is necessary," adding, "We will strive to apply the research achievements and know-how accumulated over 30 years to various sports fields."

Established in 1993 as Korea's first turf-specialized research institution, the Samsung C&T Turf Environment Research Institute supports the management of premium courses such as Anyang CC and Gapyeong Benest GC operated by Samsung C&T. Additionally, it provides consulting services to over 40 golf courses using its turf technology and golf course management expertise.
