Actor Park Bo-gum is heading to The Black Label.
On the 30th, The Black Label announced, "We have signed a management contract with Park Bo-gum," adding, "We are pleased to work with an actor who is exerting global influence beyond Korea."
They continued, "We will provide full support worldwide so that Park Bo-gum, who has diverse charm and talent, can deepen his appeal as an actor across various fields."
The Black Label is a management company founded by Teddy, a producer and former member of the hip-hop group 1TYM, and represents artists such as Taeyang, Jeon So-mi, Zion.T, R.Tee, Lauren, Vince, Brian Chase, and Ella Gross. They plan to actively expand their actor management business following their success in the music industry.
Park Bo-gum debuted in the film 'Blind' (2011) and began his acting career that year under SidusHQ. The following year, he moved to Blossom Entertainment, which was established by many former management staff. After terminating his exclusive contract with Blossom Entertainment in December last year, there was much interest in his next move. Although there were rumors about joining YG Entertainment or HYBE, he ultimately decided to sign with The Black Label.
Park Bo-gum has appeared in dramas such as ‘Wonderful Mama’, ‘Pretty Good Times’, ‘Remember You’, ‘Encounter’, and ‘Record of Youth’, as well as films like ‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents’, ‘Coin Locker Girl’, ‘Seobok’, and ‘Wonderland’. Notably, he gained tremendous popularity for his role as genius Go player Choi Taek in the drama 'Reply 1988', building widespread public favor and global recognition through numerous works. This year, he will meet audiences again with the film 'Wonderland' directed by Kim Tae-yong.
