T'way Air Completes Recertification for International Aviation Safety Evaluation

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] T'way Air announced on the 30th that it has completed the recertification of the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

IOSA is an evaluation and certification system created and operated by IATA to establish international standards for airlines' safe operation and quality assurance management systems.

T'way Air received its sixth certification since obtaining the ISM (IOSA Standards Manual) Edition 8th certification in October 2014. Recertification is required every two years, and each time the airline must pass evaluation criteria that have been strengthened compared to previous ones.

In August of last year, a detailed on-site inspection covering more than 900 items across eight areas including safety management, aviation security, operations, maintenance, cabin, flight management, transportation, and cargo was conducted by a professional evaluation agency. T'way Air met all evaluation criteria in every field and completed the certification registration on the 11th.

A T'way Air official stated, “We have established and are operating a thorough safety management system in all areas to secure aviation safety reliability that meets international standards. We will continue ongoing inspections and improvements regarding safe operations and quality assurance to provide safer and more comfortable flights.”
