Showing off masculinity as usual... Shirtless riding a horse
"170cm Putin poses wearing 'extra-large heels'"
Foreign media mocked Russian President Vladimir Putin, who usually emphasizes a masculine image, after he was seen wearing high-heeled shoes.
According to Russia's TASS news agency and others on the 25th (local time), President Putin spent about an hour having a dialogue with students from Moscow State University to celebrate Russian Students' Day. However, during the commemorative photo session with the students, his stance with both feet turned outward caused the high heels to be captured by the camera.

Regarding this, the British Daily Mail reported on the 26th that "Putin, who is 170 cm tall and obsessed with his image, wore high heels to take photos with Moscow students." According to the article, President Putin has been obsessed with his macho image and has thoroughly controlled it since coming to power in 1999.
The Daily Mail stated, "Putin has created a macho image by taking photos riding horses, shirtless, and holding rifles," adding, "Putin and his ministers have managed his public image, but people witnessed him raising his heels to appear taller."

In fact, in 2009, a photo of President Putin riding a horse shirtless while vacationing in southern Siberia became a hot topic. In addition, he has publicly shown images of himself hunting or holding guns, piloting a submarine into the deep sea, and participating in sports like judo.
Regarding the recent 'high heel' photo, Metro mocked, "The Kremlin leader wore shoes with 'extra-large heels' to pose with young people," adding, "Although Putin has been spotted wearing such heels for years, this photo appears to show the largest ones yet."
Earlier, the Daily Express reported in 2015, citing a source from the Russian Kremlin, that "Putin's bodyguards were always short to give the impression that Putin is tall." President Putin also banned sharing satirical images depicting him as a 'gay clown' in 2017, labeling them as 'extremist propaganda.'
