Sacheon-si Holds Progress Meeting on Major Industrial Accident Prevention

Establishment of Management System Including Risk Factor Identification and Inspection

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Park Dongsik, mayor of Sacheon City, Gyeongnam, held a 'Major Industrial Accident Prevention Progress Report Meeting' to prevent major accidents in advance and respond systematically by establishing a safety and health management system.

At the meeting held on the 27th, the following were reviewed: ▲ Identification of hazardous and dangerous factors and improvements ▲ Risk assessment results and measures ▲ Safety budget execution details ▲ Safety and health education completion status ▲ Safety and health measures for subcontracting, outsourcing, and consignment ▲ 2023 promotion plans.

Park Dong-sik, Mayor of Sacheon City, Gyeongnam, is conducting a progress report meeting on the prevention of major industrial accidents.

In particular, the city checked the progress and risk factors by department and decided to establish and implement a meticulous safety and health management system for accident prevention by allocating appropriate personnel and budget.

The city currently manages 125 workplaces (88 workplaces with on-site workers and 37 subcontracting, outsourcing, and consignment workplaces) and 933 workers (584 on-site workers affiliated with Sacheon City Hall and 349 on-site workers at subcontracting, outsourcing, and consignment workplaces).

Mayor Park said, “To implement safety and health management, please strive to build a self-discipline prevention system through cooperation between management and supervisory departments and workers, and to spread a culture of safety awareness.”
