LGU+ Releases Audio Drama 'Sseomtimes'... Accelerates Content Production

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] LG Uplus announced on the 30th that it will present the first episode of the audio drama , titled ‘Selling After Breakup’.


is an audio drama produced as a voice story about men and women in the ‘some’ stage of a relationship. It is a unique content that captures the heart-fluttering stories of men and women through actors’ voices, and will be first released on the 30th on U+ Mobile TV as well as domestic and international audio platforms.


LG Uplus aims to lead trends with the new attempt of audio drama as customers can naturally enjoy audio content in their daily lives through podcasts, wireless earphones, AI speakers, connected cars, and more. They expect the unique content that captivates the ears to receive positive responses from the public.

The first episode of , ‘Selling After Breakup’, tells the story of love blossoming between a man and a woman who met through secondhand trading. Actor Kim Jae-young plays ‘Lee Jun-pyo’, a talented IT industry professional suffering from breakup aftereffects, and actress Yoon So-hee plays ‘Lee Joo-ah’, a web novel writer who witnessed her boyfriend’s cheating.


Composed of eight audio tracks including “I will be your breakup senior” and “Thanks to you, I smile,” ‘Selling After Breakup’ realistically expresses the complex and subtle emotions of men and women through actors’ voices in phone calls and messenger conversations, stimulating the imagination.


‘Selling After Breakup’ will be released at 5 p.m. on the 30th through U+ Mobile TV as well as domestic and international audio platforms such as Willa, Spotify, and Flo. On U+ Mobile TV and Spotify, the audio is accompanied by illustrations, allowing it to be viewed as a video. The illustrated version will be released twice, on the 30th and the 6th of next month, and Spotify will also provide subtitle versions (English, Japanese, Spanish, Indonesian) for global customers.


On the 6th of next month, the OST album is scheduled to be released on major music sites. The strategy is to diversify the IP business not only by producing content but also by releasing music tracks. Until February 27, an additional background music contest worth about 200 million KRW will be held. As part of expanding content experience, the goal is to increase content influence through various events that customers can participate in.


LG Uplus is accelerating the production of original content including , the mukbang variety show released last December, the idol variety show launching in February, and the TVING original . Centered on the dedicated content production organization ‘STUDIO X+U’, they plan to continuously present various content such as variety shows, documentaries, and music content.
