Another Shooting in Western US... At Least 3 Dead, 4 Injured

The Los Angeles (LA) Police Department in California announced on the 28th (local time) that at least 3 people were killed and 4 injured in a shooting incident that occurred around 2:30 a.m. in Beverly Crest. The injured were taken to the hospital after the incident but are reported to be in critical condition.

Beverly Crest is an outskirt area of Beverly Hills, known for the mansions of wealthy people. The police stated that among the 7 victims, the 3 who died were inside a car, while the others were standing outside the car when they were shot.

The police are verifying the identities and relationships of the victims and are pursuing the suspect. The motive for the crime has not been disclosed.

This incident is the fourth shooting in California this year. On the 21st, at a dance studio in Monterey Park, LA County, at least 11 people died due to a random shooting by a 72-year-old Asian man.

Two days later, in a rural farm area on the outskirts of Half Moon Bay, a city 48 km south of San Francisco, a man in his 60s opened fire, killing a total of 7 people.

On the 24th, a shooting incident also occurred at a convenience store in Washington state, resulting in 3 deaths.
