NongHyup Financial, Overseas Branch Managers Meeting "First Year of Global Business Growth"

Chairman Lee Seok-jun's First Step in Frontline Communication

NongHyup Financial, Overseas Branch Managers Meeting "First Year of Global Business Growth"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] NH Nonghyup Financial Group announced on the 29th that it held a New Year's meeting on the 27th at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, chaired by Chairman Lee Seok-jun, with 21 overseas branch managers from 10 countries. This meeting was the first event for direct communication with frontline sites since Chairman Lee's inauguration.

On that day, Nonghyup Financial selected and decided to focus on this year's global key initiatives: ▲ Strengthening the competitiveness of overseas branches ▲ Enhancing the driving force for new business linked to strategic investments and digital projects for sustainable growth ▲ Strengthening the personnel management system to secure global workforce expertise ▲ Expanding global cooperation systems to improve external credibility.

Chairman Lee said, "This year will be the first year in which Nonghyup Financial's global business will grow in earnest," adding, "Please pay attention to and promote the reorganization of the global personnel management system to strengthen expertise so that we can implement differentiated financial services compared to other financial groups."

He also emphasized that instead of overseas branches pursuing business independently, the holding company, affiliates, and overseas branches should collaborate to discover customers and jointly promote business. He urged overseas office heads to comprehensively understand the local financial market and services and focus on sharing and disseminating this information.

Meanwhile, since the establishment of NH Investment & Securities London branch in April last year, Nonghyup Financial has consecutively opened Nonghyup Bank Beijing branch (July) and Sydney branch (September), expanding its overseas network to 21 branches in 10 countries.
