[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] On Sunday the 29th, daytime temperatures are expected to rise above freezing, easing the cold wave somewhat.
The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between -16 to 0 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 1 to 8 degrees Celsius. Along the west coast of Chungnam and Jeolla, there will be some snow flurries from dawn to morning.
Inland mountainous areas of Gangwon, the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong region, northern inland mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, and northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, occasional snow is expected from late afternoon through the night. Expected snowfall amounts are 1 to 3 cm along the west coast of Chungnam and Jeolla, and less than 0.1 to 1 cm in other areas.
Fine dust levels are expected to be between 'Good' and 'Moderate' nationwide.
Sea waves will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea coastal waters. Strong wind wave warnings are in effect for most maritime areas due to strong winds and high waves, so vessels should exercise caution.
