[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture announced on the 29th that it will begin issuing the Integrated Cultural Voucher (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Munhwa Nuri Card’), which supports 447,229 basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups with 110,000 KRW per person annually for cultural arts, domestic travel, and sports activities, starting from the 1st of next month.

Eligible recipients can apply from the 1st of next month until November 30th at the nearest community service center regardless of their registered address, or through the official Munhwa Nuri Card website, the Munhwa Nuri Card mobile app, or the automated phone response system. Users who have already been issued a Munhwa Nuri Card and continue to meet the eligibility criteria this year can use the card with automatic recharge without a separate application process.

The card can be used at more than 27,000 Munhwa Nuri Card affiliated stores nationwide until December 31st from the date of issuance. Major affiliated stores in the Seoul area include approximately 3,850 locations such as ▲cultural arts (Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Seoul Donhwamun Traditional Music Theater, Nanum Ticket, etc.) ▲domestic travel (KTX, intercity express buses, Ddareungi bike-sharing, etc.) ▲sports activities (Chungmu Sports Center, Seoul Metropolitan Gangnam Community Welfare Facilities, Seoul Aquatic Rehabilitation Center, etc.).

In addition, in line with Seoul’s policy direction of ‘Walking Together with the Vulnerable,’ convenience for disabled and elderly users has been enhanced. Braille cards are issued to improve convenience for visually impaired users, and large-print user guides are produced and distributed to help elderly users find affiliated stores.

Detailed information about Munhwa Nuri Card affiliated stores and related events can be found not only on the Munhwa Nuri Card website but also on the official Seoul Munhwa Nuri blog, Instagram, KakaoTalk Plus Friend, and YouTube.
