[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] On Saturday the 28th, the daytime high temperature in Seoul will remain at minus 1 degree Celsius, continuing the severe cold nationwide.


The lowest temperature on this day will range from -18 to -4 degrees Celsius, 2 to 6 degrees lower than yesterday. The temperature will not rise much during the day, maintaining the severe cold. With temperatures between -5 and 3 degrees Celsius, similar to yesterday, the wind chill will feel 4 to 7 degrees colder than the actual temperature.


Currently, snow is falling in Jeju Island and will continue until late afternoon today. Snow on Ulleungdo and Dokdo will persist through tonight until early tomorrow morning before stopping. Snow will begin in the morning along the Chungnam West Coast and Jeolla West Coast, expanding during the day to southern Gyeonggi, Chungnam region, central and southern Chungbuk, and Jeolla region.


Expected snowfall amounts are 5 to 20 cm on Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and 5 to 10 cm in the mid-mountain and mountainous areas of Jeju Island. The Chungnam West Coast, Jeolla West Coast, and Jeju coastal areas will see 1 to 5 cm, while inland Chungnam, inland Jeonbuk, Jeonnam region excluding the West Coast and eastern South Coast, and the West Sea 5 Islands will receive 1 to 3 cm. Southern Gyeonggi, central and southern Chungbuk, and eastern South Coast of Jeonnam are expected to have less than 1 cm.


The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "In areas where snow is falling or accumulated, the piled snow will freeze, causing many icy roads and black ice on roads." They added, "There will be many icy roads on side streets, alleys, sloped roads, and shaded roads, so please be especially cautious about traffic safety and pedestrian accidents."


Fine dust levels are expected to be between 'Good' and 'Moderate' across all regions.
