Ok Hyunjin, New Chief of Sacheon Coast Guard: "Be Honest and Upright Despite Any Adversity"

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Chief Superintendent Ok Hyunjin was inaugurated on the 27th as the 2nd Chief of the Gyeongnam Sacheon Coast Guard.

The former Chief Ok Changmook moved to the position of Head of Operations Support Division at the Coast Guard Education Center.

Chief Ok, who joined the Coast Guard as a patrol officer in 1992, has served as Head of Investigation Division at Tongyeong Station, Head of Investigation Division at Incheon Station, Planning and Finance Officer at Headquarters, Water Leisure Division Chief at the Rescue and Safety Bureau, Counterterrorism Operations Division Chief at the Security Bureau, and Foreign Affairs Division Chief at the International Intelligence Bureau of Headquarters.

In his inaugural speech, Chief Ok said, “We will actively respond to the diverse maritime security situations and environments in the western Gyeongnam waters, do our best to protect the lives and safety of the people, and move forward honestly on the right path regardless of any adversity.”

He continued, “Let us faithfully carry out the missions and duties assigned to each of us and establish a perfect maritime disaster response system through continuous training,” and added, “I ask everyone to share the same goal and work together to create an organizational culture of communication and harmony.”
