Gold Medal in Bowling Singles, Bronze Medal in Five-Person Team Event
[Asia Economy Ho Reporting Headquarters Reporter Heo Seonsik] Kim Donghyun, a player of the Gwangyang City Hall Workplace Sports Team in Jeonnam, won a gold medal (individual) and a bronze medal (5-person team) at the 26th Asian Bowling Championships held in Hong Kong from the 7th to the 19th.
Kim Donghyun, who was selected as a national representative last year, joined the Gwangyang City Hall Workplace Sports Team bowling team this year and won the gold medal in the individual event with a total score of 1605 points (average 267.5) and the bronze medal in the 5-person team event with a total score of 7044 points (average 234.7) at this Asian Bowling Championships.

Jung Inhwa, mayor of Gwangyang City, said, "I first congratulate Kim Donghyun, who elevated the status of Gwangyang City and the Republic of Korea with a gold medal at the Asian Bowling Championships, and I am very proud," adding, "We will continue to spare no support so that the Workplace Sports Team athletes can train in a good environment."
The Gwangyang City Workplace Sports Team bowling team had three players, including Gaseuhyeong, selected as national representatives last year, and since its establishment in 1996, eight members including coach Lee Chunsu and coach Choi Bogum have been actively working.
