[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 27th that it held the DSC (Digital Strategy Committee) to review the status of its DT (Digital Transformation) projects and share new projects for this year.

Since declaring "Hi, Digital BANK! A New Journey with Customers!" as its 2023 management policy, this was the first DSC meeting, attended by about 60 people including Bank President Choi Hong-young, executives, and heads of headquarters departments.

Gyeongnam Bank Leaps into Digital Banking... Holds Digital Strategy Committee Meeting BNK Gyeongnam Bank President Choi Hong-young, along with executives and heads of headquarters departments, are participating in the Digital Strategy Committee to share new business initiatives for 2023.

The DSC is an organization newly established in March last year for the successful transition to a digital bank. President Choi serves as the chairman, directly overseeing important matters and driving projects with speed, fulfilling his role as a "Digital Bank President."

Through seven DSC meetings last year, discussions were held on the application of key digital technologies such as Open API, cloud, big data, and metaverse, enhancing employees' understanding of DT. Additionally, a DT index indicating the progress of DT projects by department was calculated to establish a management system.

In 2023, the DSC plans to continue its role as a control tower across all DT projects while expanding employees' voluntary participation to foster creative and bold ideas, contributing to the establishment of a digital mindset throughout the bank.

President Choi said, "If 2022 was a year to build infrastructure and lay the foundation for transitioning to a digital bank, this year will mark the start of an actual transition to a digital bank."

He added, "We will provide customers with new experiences and value based on digital and data."

President Choi, along with about ten core digital and IT personnel, participated in "CES 2023," the world's largest IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, on the 5th of last month, where they explored new technology trends and visited global IT companies.
