Response to Partner ESG Issues
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyoon] Hyosung Heavy Industries announced on the 27th that it will provide free consulting on safety and health management systems to its partner companies. The company plans to actively enhance the safety management capabilities of its partners by strengthening the safety awareness of partner executives and workers and preemptively inspecting workplace risk factors.
To provide safety and health management system consulting for its partners, Hyosung Heavy Industries signed a contract with the law firm Daeryuk Aju on the same day. Partner companies will be inspected and consulted on over 100 evaluation items by a specialized safety and health audit team, and those recognized as having an excellent safety management system will be awarded certification.
Hyosung Heavy Industries plans to give preferential treatment to companies that obtain this excellent certification during partner evaluations. Accordingly, it is expected that a practical and field-centered safety management system will be established. More than 50 companies are expected to benefit this year.
Hyosung Heavy Industries has produced an ESG management guidebook for partners and continues to provide education and consulting for ESG management to strengthen ESG management among its partners.
To improve the working environment for partner workers, since 2016, the company has supported improvements such as workplace lighting facilities, rest facilities for outdoor workers, and equipment and cleaning vehicles for dust removal in workplaces. This year, it plans to further strengthen ESG management and the establishment of safety management systems for its partners.
