Last year, the ‘Tracking Cleaner’ operation was promoted as an autonomous special policy unique to Muan Fire Station, but this year it was selected as a common policy by the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters and will be expanded to all fire stations in Jeonnam.
The ‘Tracking Cleaner’ refers to equipment developed in-house to prevent electrical fires caused by dust and debris inside outlets in old houses, traditional markets, livestock barns, factories, and other places.
By combining a fire suppression air compressor cylinder with an air cleaner gun, it uses air pressure to remove dust and foreign substances accumulated on electrical appliances.
Muan Fire Station is expanding the operation of the ‘Tracking Cleaner’ through various methods such as △promoting campaigns for the safe use of electrical facilities △operating a free call center for electrical fire safety management △expanding safety services of the 119 Life Safety Patrol.
A representative of Muan Fire Station stated, “We will focus on promotion through banner postings and text messages to related parties such as factories and livestock barns, and plan to pursue cooperation with the Muan-gun Social Welfare Department and the Jeonnam Western Branch of the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation.”
