"Battery, Not a Structure Affected by Electric Vehicle Pricing"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] LG Energy Solution stated in the Q4 earnings conference call held on the 27th, "The supply volume to North American automotive customers remains steady," adding, "Overall sales volume is not a situation to be greatly concerned about despite the global demand contraction."

However, they noted, "Due to the decline in the KRW-USD exchange rate and the seasonal impact on products such as Energy Storage Systems (ESS), considering these factors, we expect Q1 performance this year to be similar to that of Q4 last year."

They continued, "Battery prices are not structured to be influenced by electric vehicle prices," and added, "Therefore, the reduction in battery prices due to electric vehicle price cuts will be limited."
