IN Co., Ltd. Wins the 16th Korea Excellent Patent Award with Safe Jeonse App 'Imcha-in'

Proptech specialist company I&N Co., Ltd. was selected for the '2022 16th Korea Excellent Patent Award (IT/Real Estate Platform Category)'. The Korea Excellent Patent Award is hosted by the Korea Intellectual Property Information Service and the Korea Daily, encouraging patent technology research and development for 16 years with a total of 360 companies participating.

I&N Co., Ltd. is currently presenting the ‘Imcha-in’ app project to prevent common issues such as empty deposit jeonse, jeonse fraud, and unreliable landlords. The safe jeonse app Imcha-in offers various services for tenants’ safe rental life, including ‘Empty Jeonse Detector,’ ‘Lease Object Rights Analysis,’ and ‘Landlord Risk and Tenant Protection,’ aiming to care for tenants from before the contract, during residence, to move-out.

CEO Kang Woo-jin of I&N Co., Ltd. stated, “Last year, it is known that 227 malicious landlords failed to return jeonse deposits, causing guarantee accidents amounting to nearly 440 billion KRW. To prevent consumer damage such as jeonse fraud from so-called bad landlords, it is crucial to easily obtain accurate and transparent real estate information in real time.” He added, “We developed a real estate app for tenants to solve problems caused by information asymmetry between landlords and tenants in the real estate market. Being selected for the Korea Excellent Patent Award, we will further develop the service to become an essential device for tenants’ safe living environments.”

Meanwhile, I&N Co., Ltd. was recognized for the business model of ‘Imcha-in’ by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund on the 16th of last month and was selected as a Step-up Challenge Company. It is also planning to launch ‘Junggae-in,’ an application for licensed real estate agents, in the first half of this year as part of business diversification.
