Lotte GRS Obtains ISO 37301 Certification... "Industry First"

On the 27th, Lotte GRS announced that it has obtained the international standard certification for compliance management systems (ISO 37301), becoming the first in the domestic franchise industry to do so.

ISO 37301 is a global certification granted after evaluating whether a company possesses a systematic compliance management policy and risk management system capable of addressing legal risks in business operations. It is an international standard related to compliance management established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in April 2021.

Previously, in 2018, Lotte GRS became the first in the food service franchise industry to acquire ISO 37001 certification, an international standard for anti-corruption management systems. In 2021, alongside the opening ceremony of its new headquarters in Doksan-dong, the company announced a mid- to long-term plan to realize its ESG management strategy, stating its intention to obtain ISO certifications related to ESG by 2023.

With the aim of enhancing brand trust and corporate value to continuously realize its ESG management strategy, Lotte GRS established a dedicated compliance organization, acquired internal auditor qualifications, set and progressed detailed goals, and conducted risk assessments. After a two-stage audit, the company finally obtained the certification.

A Lotte GRS representative stated, “Compliance management based on transparency and trust has become not only an important competitive advantage for companies but also an essential condition for sustainable growth. This certification is not the end but a new beginning for compliance management. This year, we plan to focus on the fair trade sector to operate an effective management system.”
