Investing 1 Billion Won to Support Eight Works
The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and CJ ENM have joined hands to nurture new creators in the broadcasting and video content industry. On the 26th, they signed a business agreement in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, to support the production of debut works. They will collaborate to ensure that outstanding works selected through 'O?PEN' are produced and broadcast as content. O?PEN is a project launched by CJ ENM in 2017 to discover and support new creators. KOCCA is investing 1 billion KRW to support eight works: 'Grand Shining Hotel,' 'Shoot Me,' '2:15 PM,' 'Walk,' 'One Reason We Can't Meet,' 'Summer Love Machine Blues,' 'Summer Cold,' and 'Do Not Press the Peach.' Once production is complete, these debut works by new writers will be aired on tvN's O'PENing and on TVING. Cho Hyun-rae, president of KOCCA, stated, "We will continue public-private cooperation from multiple angles to ensure the sustained growth of K-content competitiveness."
