'Confidential' will be revealed.
On the 27th, Plus M Entertainment announced that the film 'Daewoebi' (Director Lee Won-tae) will be released in March. Set in Busan in 1992, it depicts a fierce battle for a secret document that will shake South Korea, involving Hae-ung, a perennial National Assembly candidate, Soon-tae, a hidden power broker in the political arena, and Pil-do, an action-oriented gangster.
Actor Jo Jin-woong plays Hae-ung, a perennial National Assembly candidate who wants to end his bottom-tier political life and gradually changes in pursuit of earning a gold badge. Lee Sung-min portrays Soon-tae, the hidden power broker shaking up the political scene, and Kim Moo-yul plays Pil-do, an action-oriented gangster dreaming of rising as a political thug. The film aims to deliver cinematic excitement by intricately depicting the conflict and cooperation among these three characters.
This is the new work of director Lee Won-tae, who directed 'The Villainess,' invited to the Midnight Screening section at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival, and is produced by the team behind 'The Outlaws,' 'A Taxi Driver' (2017), and 'The Villainess' (2019).
